Therapeutic Indications
Jojoba oil combines readily with any essential or carrier oil, aiding their penetration into the skin. It is a balancing oil, good for treating acne and oily skin as well as dehydrated skin. It is anti-inflammatory and an excellent eczema and psoriasis
treatment.
Jojoba's secret is that it is a liquid wax as opposed to an oil and is very similar in composition to human oil secretions. As such, it is readily absorbed into the skin, is edible and is nontoxic and nonirritating. It
is one of the best skin conditioners known to man. These qualities combine to make Jojoba oil an ideal base oil for massage and facial oils.
Storage
Jojoba oil should be stored in a cool, dry area until it is used. Once opened, refrigeration and tightly closing the cap will prolong its shelf life.
Usage
Massage: Use Jojoba oil as the ideal base or carrier oil. Add essential oils of your choice to create your own personal skin oil, facial oil, or massage oil.
Chafing & Diaper (Nappy) Rash: Jojoba Oil is a lovely oil for newborn babies as it has the advantage of building a very fine waxy coating which acts as a barrier to
moisture in the diaper (nappy) area. Liberally apply directly to affected area with each diaper change.
Eczema & Dermatitis: Jojoba Oil provides temporary relief of the symptoms of eczema, dermatitis and the itching of psoriasis. Apply directly onto the affected area. For a
more effective result, Pure-Li Natural Lavender oil may be added 5 drops to 10ml Jojoba Oil. For the treatment of psoriasis, do not use for prolonged periods
without consulting a qualified health practitioner.
Dry Skin: As an unscented skin conditioner, Jojoba oil leaves skin with a smooth, lustrous velvety bloom. To soothe, soften, moisturize and nourish dry skin add Jojoba oil to
a therapeutic bath, or apply directly to the skin and massage gently.
Dandruff: To help control dandruff and give hair a lustrous quality massage Jojoba oil directly into the hair and scalp, leave overnight, then wash and condition.
