relieve external pain, itching and inflammation. Best of all, it is safe and delicate enough to use on a baby's skin
Contraindications
For external use only.
Therapeutic Indications
Hypericum, also known as St. John's wort, is a valuable healing and anti-inflammatory remedy. Hypericum Ointment promotes and speeds the healing of wounds, bruises, varicose veins, sciatica, sprains, mild burns, sunburns and cramps. Hypericum has also
been effective in relieving pain from breast engorgement during lactation. Many people use this ointment as an antiseptic on scrapes, sores, and ulcers.
Storage
Hypericum Ointment should be stored in a cool, dry area until it is required.
Usage
Hypericum Ointment should only be used externally. It can be applied liberally to the affected area, and thoroughly massaged in. Be sure to treat the region adjacent to the wound, as healing is occurring here
too.
If using a bandage, the amount of ointment applied should be increased. This guarantees the area being treated is still exposed to the ointment.
Complimentary Therapies
Proper nutrition is vital to good health. Drink plenty of water (at least 8 glasses daily) and juice instead of coffee, tea or sodas. Try to avoid synthetic ingredients, highly concentrated in prepared or packaged foods, and take a well-balanced
multivitamin and mineral supplement.
Compression, elevation, and ice or heat can be used to alleviate discomfort. A qualified health practitioner should be consulted to confirm which is the best course of treatment for you.
