Supercharge Your Workout

Exercising or "working out" is a vital component of any weight loss, weight maintenance or health plan. Without exercise we are unable to burn excess calories and stay healthy.

Experts say that dieters should aim to exercise a minimum of 30 minutes daily three times a week. But, obtaining results most of us desire would require a significant commitment of time, energy, willpower, and determination.

Few of us are able to exercise as long or as often as we realize we should. It is often difficult to squeeze a visit to the gym into our chaotic lifestyles, and when we do something always pops up. Strenuous exercise pushes muscles and the liver. In turn, the liver produces enzymes to help detoxify and remove the unwanted byproducts created during the metabolic process. Strenuous exercise significantly increases the need for these cleansing enzymes, and their levels in the liver and bloodstream rise drastically. If the liver does not produce enough enzymes then there may be an increase in muscle pain and damage, muscle recovery time is elongated, and endurance is decreased. If recovery takes too long the liver may not be able to catch up to demand and can become damaged.

Schizandra has been shown to lower key liver enzyme levels, minimize muscle recovery time and damage, while reducing the effort required to obtain desired performance levels. By helping the liver to protect itself and function better, Schizandra may allow us to reach our exercise goals easier, and recover faster, with less pain.

Ontario Red Ginseng
